I'm quite proud of this wren in flight - the Male Splendid wren is so rapidly flighty - it's an extremely
lucky shot I feel. It was taken at one of my favourite places - Harmony Forest,
a few hours south of the city of Perth, in Margaret River. Margaret River is a world class wine growing area - and I really love getting down there. There are quite a few wrens and some firetails in this collection for you to enjoy ! The red-eared firetail, I am pretty sure, is exclusively found only in the south west of Western Australia. Some of this collection is taken with a Nikon D100 and some of the Honeyeaters, flowers and bees are done with my newer D200. The honeyeaters and flowers are taken at my semi-rural property in Wandi, about 20 minutes south of the city of Perth. |
